Description

Hi.

I'm using the Sony SR200, Long story short, it is an HDD Camcorder, and records MPG2 video with A52 audio (according to VLC). I have no problems getting the video off the camcorder, just getting the audio to play with QT, FCE, and FCP.

I have installed the latest version of the a52 codec (http://trac.cod3r.com/a52codec), and removed any instances of AC3Codec in both /Library/QuickTime and ~/Library/QuickTime.

But none of Quicktime, FCP6, FCE4 recognize the audio in this video file, VLC does it just fine. I'd really like to edit these files in Final Cut Express, and if anyone know's any steps I can take to do this it would be greatly appreciated.

What's the filetype? Is it an mpeg file?
