AC3 passthrough works perfectly using front row (quicktime) and .mkv files.
Seems like the only way to play .mkv files with DTS sound is to use vlc which passes it though to the AV receiver just fine. I would love to import the rest of my .mkv files that have DTS sound into front row.
Is there anyway to have a DTS component that just does a DTS passthrough to an AV receiver for 5.1 sound? Is this even possible with some sort of codec/plugin? Or is apple the only one who can build this into quicktime? I hope not because then I doubt we would get this valuable feature for a while.
