White blinking bar while playing AC3 video

Description

Hi all, i am having problem with my AC3 videos on the Quicktime player. Don't know if any of you guys had the same problem and can help me out.

After i installed the "A52Codec 1.7.2", all of my AC3 videos get a white "blinking" bar on the right handside of the QT player while playing the video. I tried the same video same add-on on the G5 ppc, but everything runs smooth and fine. Any of you guys know i can get rid of the line?

I have never seen this myself. You mentioned you tried the same on a G5 later, and it didn't exhibit the same problem. What kind of machine do you see it on?

Also, is it possible for you to provide a sample which exhibits this behavior? In addition, a list of codecs you use to play would help as well. Feel free to email me: gbooker@users.sourceforge.net

This appeared to be an incompatibility with the DivX components by divx.com. I have checked all the memory allocations within the component, and there are no buffer overflows or anything else that I can see. Unless I have evidence showing otherwise, I believe this is an issue with the dixv.com components and not this codec.

Closing pending further evidence to discount my theory.
