Description

I have a video file with an AC3 soundtrack (as confirmed by playing it in VLC), but the audio doesn't play in Quicktime Player or QTAmateur (a 3rd party QT player). However, oddly, the audio does work from the Finder's preview.

In Quicktime Player, it says this in movie properties:

, 580 x 242, Unknown

This portion of the message was cut off:

[k, Stereo, 48.000 khz

Where it says "[k" it puts different characters there on different launches of the movie (i've seen a "k" and I think, but don't know for sure a "j]").

Crap, I downloaded the newer version, and this problem is fixed. Sorry guys.

Just a quick comment. Most likely you didn't quit the app. Quicktime apps only read components available on launch.

Glad to hear you got it to work.
